Media & Recording Policy

We respect the privacy and rights of all students, teachers, staff, and visitors. In addition to our general privacy practices, specific rules apply to media presence and recording of classes or educational events:

Recording of Classes

• Classes and workshops are intended for teaching and learning purposes only and are not public events.
• Audio or video recording of classes without prior written permission from GCI and the teacher is not allowed.
• If permission is granted, recordings may be used only for personal study and must not be shared or published online without further consent.

Media Attendance

• Journalists, media representatives, or external parties may not attend or record classes without prior approval from GCI.
• All media requests must be submitted to info@confuciusgroningen.nl at least 5 working days in advance.
• Approved media presence will be clearly communicated to all participants beforehand.

Use of Images and Content

• Photos or videos taken by GCI in educational or promotional settings may be used on our platforms only with the explicit consent of all identifiable individuals.
• Everyone has the right to object to being included in photos or videos.

Cookie Policy

We record data about the use of this website. This includes visitor numbers, pages visited and properties of the web browsers used. Safety

We therefore apply all possible technical and organisational measures to safely handle your personal data. To secure your personal data we use security software such as a virus scanner and firewall, passwords for electronic systems, a secure internet connection and backups.

Storage personal data

We do not store your personal data longer than is strictly necessary for carrying out the purposes. If there are legal requirements applicable to the storage, the personal data are no longer stored than required by law.
